Well we have made it to Bakerfield Califonia. It was really nice to get over the mountains and into warmer weather. The first three nights on the road we were in freezing temperatures at night. It went up to 80F in Southern California yesterday and today promises to be the same.

We stayed night three in Seven Feathers new RV Resort and boy is it nice. If you join the Casino for free, you get a three dollar discount in the campground. It has a beautiful indoor pool and hot tub as well as the grounds will be stunning when they get it all finished. We went to the Casino for dinner. Two of us hadthe Buffet while three of us had the $6.95 Steak Dinner special. It was an awesome meal. The girls played the slots for an hour or so. Mom dropped $40, Ann made $1.00 and I broke even and brought my $20.00 home with me. Fun was had by all.

The next night we stayed in the Walmart in Woodlands CA. There is a sign up that says you can't stay the night put up by the city but the Walmart Greeter told us it was ok to stay as no one has ever been towed. We noticed there is only one sign and it is way over on the far side of the lot. There were four or five of us and no one was bothered. We went to Food4Less and got groceries. It sure was nice to have some fresh fruit and vegetables again.

We spent last night in a campground on Hwy 58 on the eastern side of Bakersfield call A Country RV Resort. Great cement pads, mostly pull throughs, WIFI for $3.00 and only $25.00/nt. Glad we made a reservation though as they were completely full. This is a new campground and very nice with a pool and hot tub. We didn't use them as we got here at four and washed the bus. We then had a great dinner at Tony's. Pork Chops, rice and green beans. Yum.

Well that is your update. We will be off soon over the pass and over to Blythe. Will blog from there if we can.
