Oh It's Cold
October 29th
Day one on the road went well. We arrived at the ferry terminal for the Coho ferry shortly after 11AM after saying goodbye to our neighbours. We precleared customs on the Victoria side. They came on board asked us a couple of questions and looked in the fridge and that was it. On the Port Angeles side they only asked how long we were staying and whether we had more than $10,000 with us. We wish!!! The crossing was a little rough, a lot of rolling motion. It scared poor Mindy, Tony’s cat, who did her thing on the floor instead of the litter box. Merlin was really glad to see us when we got back to the coach but he hadn’t done anything on the floor.
We drove to Sequim, but the casino wasn’t where the Streets and Trips said it was. A kind lady at the gas bar took us to the casino which was right on Hwy 101 about 8 miles out of town. It is a great place to spend the night. If you use it make sure you register with the Casino. It is free to stay for 24 hours. We had dinner and then went to spend our $20.00. Ann and I lost ours but Mom put in $10 and came out with $22.
We woke up this morning to a heavy frost and 33F. Boy was it cold. We have run the generator and the heater for an hour just to get it into the 60’s inside. Well better go as everyone is on the move. We are heading for Camping World south of Portland today.
Until then.

Here we are sitting in front of a Super 8 in Portland stealing WIFI. It is really cool and going below freezing tonight. We are parked in Camping World for the night. Good drive today. Nice and sunny. Tony cooked salmon tonight for dinner. It was yummy. More tomorrow.
