Well as usual, we reserved the twelve oclock ferry and we were on the eleven. A good thing though, because we were an hour at the border. I checked the web site for what we could take across the border but they really have gotten stricter. We pulled over with another RV and people from US Agriculture went through our bus looking for food that we weren’t allowed to enter with. We thought we were fine but we ended up loosing our four frozen French onion soup because it contained beef broth, one package of Beef Noodle cup a soup, one Caesar dinner for Merlin which they let him eat in the border building where we waited while they searched our rig, and all Merlin’s treats. His dog food in the can was alright as it was made in the USA. So take notice Carolyn and Gary, take note of all your soup mixes, canned goods and frozen items. Anything with beef in any form including oxo cubes is not allowed. They were very nice about and they left the rig the way they found it except one Margarita glass fell out of the cupboard above the fridge when they opened it and it broke. She felt really bad about it and said we could claim for it. We told her not to worry as it was worth 2 dollars and only plastic. We got to Fife and we are spending the night in Camping World parking lot. We got here just as it closed so Rob did get the guides he wanted and we can leave early in the AM instead of waiting for it to open at 8AM.

We were up at five o’clock this morning and on the road by five thirty. We stopped after two hours and had breakfast and a nap. Ninety minutes later we were on the road again. The weather today was sunny with foggy periods. We phoned our friends Lynn and Blair
For a forcast on the mountains from Roseburg. They said the forcast is for dry and sun and they wanted us to come for the night. They live in Grants Pass so we arrived here at about 4PM. We looked at the field and decided it was dry enough to turn around in but unfortunately it wasn’t and Rob was stuck for two hours. Blair rallied his friends who all drive big rigs and after a lot of hard work got us out in one piece. We are now sitting in the driveway high and dry. We will both leave here in our Birds tomorrow morning. They are heading to Carson City and we are heading to California. We will meet up with them in Arizona on the 23rd. Well we are both tired so we will hit the bed.

Well we have made it to Picacho Peak safe and sound. It was a good trip down even though we hit alot of fog. The mountains were bare so no trouble in the passes. We were to the farm office of our friend Ron Wong yesterday and are getting together with the whole family for Chinese dinner this evening. We will spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day here at the campground with Lynn and Blair and then we are all invited to Francis Wong's, Ron's sister, for dinner on the 26th with the whole family. That's all the news for now.
