Dinner at Chez Eng and Spiderman
Well for a week with no appointments or engagements it sure went fast. We started the week with dinner at the Ellerton's which I forgot to mention in my last blog. It was awesome. Lots of veggies and dip and humus to start and then steak and prawns for the main course. Dessert consisted of angel food cake with berries and lemon sauce. Yum. We then played a game called Red Apples Green Apples. It was a great game even if the guys weren't great fans.
Wednesday Rob went sailing with Graham and they came in last again. I think Graham needs to find a better crew. This one is pretty bad. HA. They had fun though and that is what it is all about.
Rob has just about finished the maintenance on the roof. I believe today will finish it. Good timing as they are calling for showers on Monday. He also has his shed all organized on shelving units.
Carolyn and Gary arrived home Thursday. We went over and helped unload the motorhome. Mom Ousey made the trip really well. They are now in the process of unpacking her things and getting her settled. She is a lovely lady and I hope she will be happy here in Victoria.
Tony had his birthday this week. He turned 61 but don't tell him. We took him to the movies last night to see Spiderman 3. It was a pretty hoaky movie but he seemed to enjoy it. The comments from the peanut gallery (Rob and Gary) kept me entertained. We are going to see Pirates of the Caribbean on Monday night which I am sure will be better. We saw the first trailer for the next Harry Potter movie. It looks great. Before going to the movie we had a wonderful dinner at the Eng's. Roast pork, potato salad, yams and veggies. We had cake, strawberries, and ice cream for dessert. Yum.
Well that is the news update for now.
