Well this is our last day in Myrtle Beach. We have had a wonderful time here and the sunshine and warmth have been fabulous. We went to the boat show in Georgetown. Teams were given supplies and plans and had to build a boat in a very short time. Four hours I believe. We saw the boats in progress. In fact the first one was finished in under two hours while we were there. They had lots of wooden boats on display as well. Some of them were really old but in wonderful condition. We didn't stay to see them race the boats made in the competition as there wasn't anywhere to sit in the shade to wait so we came back to Scott's and then went out for dinner.
The first night we were here we walked on the boardwalk and ate dinner overlooking the inlet with a moon that was approaching full. Rob and Scott competed in a Chilli Cookoff on Sunday. They didn't win but they had a ball. They wore Sombreros and handed out samples all day. Rob came home exhausted but happy. Merlin and I spent a quite day at home reading and relaxing.
Yesterday we stayed at the campground for the morning and then went to Scott's for a wonderful dinner of salad, fettuchini, and the most wonderful bread I have ever had. Must get some today before we leave. Today we are going again to Scott's for a barbeque meal. Rob is also going to help Scott with some chores on "Ruby", his bluebird.
We are off to Columbia tomorrow to visit with Jim and Polly. We will blog from there.
